Look at him standing up so well!!! Cannot believe he has been with you guys for a year...what a blessing it has been to watch you parent your sweet little boy!

12/26/08 Submitted Pre-Adoption Assessment from Loving Shepherd Ministries (LSM)

12/31 /08 Received info for adoption agencies and decided on Christian World Adoption (CWA)

01/01/09 Submitted pre-application to CWA

01/02/09 Received Initial Application Packet from CWA

01/07/09 Nate attended a mandatory Webinar for CWA that allows us to become a client once they receive our Initial Application Packet.

01/12/09 Sent in Initial Application to CWA

01/14/09 Scheduled initial Home Study interview with Adoption Support Services.

01/15/09 Official acceptance by CWA and entrance to adoption planner

01/20/09 Attended required Ethiopian webinar hosted by CWA

01/22/09 Initial Home Study Interview @ ASC

02/11/09 Home Study Interview

03/01/09 Complete Exam for Adoption Parenting, Part I of required 10 hr training

03/03/09 Received rough draft of Home Study report.

03/09/09 Returned Home Study with corrections.

03/28/09 Shanna completes last of Adoption training requirements

04/02/09 USCIS appointment for fingerprinting

04/02/09 Nate completes last of Adoption training requirements

04/05/09 Write the letter to Ethiopian government stating our desire to adopt (part of the Dossier)

04/23/09 Completion of Home Study

04/28/09 Sent completed Dossier to CWA for review/approval

05/05/09 Dossier is approved by CWA

05/05/09 Sent Cover Letter to Indiana state house to be authenticated

05/13/09 Received Authenticated Cover Letter from the State of Indiana

05/14/09 Sent completed dossier to courier in Washington, DC for authentication by State Department and Ethiopian Embassy

05/18/09 Received email from courier stating that our dossier has been authenticated by US State Dept

05/18/09 Received approval letter from USCIS for I600A form (Approval for adopting an orphan)

11/23/09 REFERRAL!!

12/30/09 Received court date for Jan. 18, 2010

01/18/2010 PASSED COURT!

02/26/10 Left for ET

03/10/10 Embassy appointment

03/11/10 Left ET for US

03/12/10 HOME!!
