That being said...if we get the Feb. 23 embassy date, we will be leaving in TWO WEEKS! Yikes!! That definitely puts things in fast-forward as I feel like we have so much to do to get ready. If we do get the Feb. 23 date, we will be leaving Feb. 13. If we get the March 9 date, we will be leaving around Feb. 26. As of now, we haven't heard any indications from our case manager as to which date we might get, so we are still waiting...and praying it will be the Feb. 23 date.

Getting closer
This week has been a bit busy...lots of stuff going on, so I haven't had much time to post. The biggest thing that has happened between today and the last you heard from us is that we have decided to leave a week earlier than our embassy date, which means we will be in-country for two weeks. A lot of things played into this decision...it will allow us an extra week to bond with Levi in his own somewhat familiar surroundings (smells, sounds, sleep routine) before bringing him home. We are hoping that it will be a little easier transition and we will have an extra week to get to know him before having to board for a 24-28 hr trip home. It will also allow us to just focus on being a family before having to return home to the normal daily distractions...two full weeks together without housework, jobs, and other duties where we can begin learning to be a family of three. Plus, we are just that excited and we will be able to have one more week with Levi than we otherwise would not have been able to have. We are so blessed to be able to have the freedom to make this decision because we know it is not the typical thing to do.
