Happy Easter

We were able to celebrate with our families this weekend. My parents (a.k.a. Gramma and Grampa Harlow) and Ben and Jene'e came up to attend our Good Friday service with us. We had dinner at Nate's parents (a.k.a Grandma and Pops Conner) on Saturday. Baby J was close to all of our hearts this weekend as we anticipate having him around this time next year. We are all looking forward to decorating easter eggs and the traditional egg hunt that comes with little ones (and of course the requisite easter basket!). Baby J received his first gift from Grandma and Pops. They have been waiting quite patiently to give this to us! It is very cute and will be a special gift that we will keep in his room.

We also received our training certificates from the online Hague training. We also found out that the two other trainings that we did counted as many more hours than what they had originally told us. I guess now we are exceptionally qualified as adoptive parents! (haha)

We sent the background check to TX on Thursday, so we should hopefully be receiving it mid-week. Once we get that, we will officially have everything we need for our Dossier. (Apparently, we had to have the abover certificates for proof before they officially recognized that we completed the training.) CWA has been going through an office move and our new case worker will be out of the office until Thursday. It looks like all of our stuff will be coming together just in time for them to get back up and fully running. I'm not sure what the turnaround will be for them to review our completed Dossier, but I would think it wouldn't be too long, maybe a couple of days. Looks the completion of the Dossier is right around the corner!

  1. You've always been exceptionally qualified (despite the extra hours of training). We'll continue to pray for the process and the uniting of Baby J Conner with his wonderful parents. Lots of love....

  4. Thanks for inviting us to your Church's Good Friday Service. It was a blessed time to focus on the sacrifice Christ made for us, especially with our daughter and son-in-law and son and daughter-in-law. I would never have dreamed of doing that as a group a year ago. Praise be to God!

    Love, Grandpappy
